I am having the exact same problem with a fresh install and no mods. Any solution to this? I really like the template and I would hate to have to change it because of this.

I think the styles/GlossyBlack/template/editor.js file is out of date.

In the styles/GlossyBlack/template/posting_buttons.html you have this line...

Code: Select all

<script type="text/javascript" src="{T_TEMPLATE_PATH}/editor.js"></script>
That means it uses it's own editor.js file. (out of date)

Copy the styles/prosilver/template/editor.js to the styles/GlosyBlack/template/ directory.
Over write that old editor.js file.

Then Refresh the GlossyBlack templates.

It is not working. :(

On top of that, my board needed a language pack and, after the install, the "edit message" buttons have vanished.

I think I am going to need to switch to a different template. It is a shame, because this one was perfect style-wise, but well...

Thank you for your help, Sniper_E.

I am not sure my post was sent, so here I am again: the solution did not work. On top of that, when I added a language pack, the "edit message" buttons vanished. So I will have to just switch style and let it go.

Thanks for the help anyway.

Well, I downloaded the 3.0.8 version of that style, the smilies and bbcodes would not work when I clicked on them. After copying prosilver's editor.js to that style's template/ directory they all worked fine. I'm not sure what you are having problems with. But even after making it work, that style would still need to be updated for 3.0.11 to be right. Good luck with it.

your post was sent, but you are in the moderator queue so you would not see it right away, until it is approved!
if you added a language pack, make sure all the buttons are there, you might need to refresh the style and purge the cache!
